Albert B Carrington Jr.

Born on august 1, 1961 in Los Angeles, Ca as far back as I can remember I've always been into cars; in fact my father had a 1962 Corvette. My Grandfather use to take me to Riverside raceway to watch the cras race; he use to park by the fence on a dirt hill and sit me on the roof of his car so I could watch the cars go by. One thing I clearly remember is the smell of the racing fuel fumes as the cars went screaming by. As I got older I remember telling everyone I was going to be a race car driver, and even to this day I wish it would have come true. I use to race pedal bikes at Saddleback Park and jumped ramps, kind of like the X games of today.

When I finally became old enough to drive I worked all summer long to get my first car, my parents were teaching me that if I wanted something bad enough I had to work for it. I bought a 1972 Ford Pinto, guess what I did with it? I took it to the shop and spent all my money building it to race. I use to race this 4 cylinder Pinto on the street and at the track, I had lots of fun. I went to the military in 1980 but when I got out I wanted a car. I talked about getting a Porsche the entire time while in the military but when I got out I got a 280Z. I didn't race the Z but I did trick it out, wheels, Stereo, and a lot of custom stuff. One day while in the Z I stopped at a traffic light and a lady pulled up next to me in a nice green Corvette. This was the first time I actually felt like I really wanted a Vette, this thing was totally tricked with wheels, body kit and everthing, it was beautiful. Shortly after that I went by my moms house to visit here and guess what, the lady next door to my mom just bought a brand new (used) 1982 Corvette, naturally I had to drive it. I told her I was just going around the corner but once I got behind the wheel I was gone for 4 hours. when I finally returned my moms friend was so nervous but was pleased to see her car in one piece she didn't complain about me being gone so long.  About one week later I could'nt take it no more and purchased my first Corvette, it was a 1984 bronze C4 coupe with custom wheels and a greenwood body kit already installed, and yes, I built the motor and raced it for about 2 years. I still drive it today as my daily driver.

By this time I was really starting to get into the Corvette scene, going to a lot of get togethers and meeting new friends. It was now years later and the old 84 just didn't cut it anymore, C4's were out and C5's were in, and I wanted one, so after helping my wife purchase her Acura TL the very next day I bought a Silver 1998 Corvette Coupe. I immediately started to modify this car, buying all sorts of stuff to make it mine. I started getting real creative and today it's my show car. I've won many trophies and am very proud to own it. Recently we started a new Corvette club called, well ELITE CORVETTES which I am the secretary. When we started this club one of the goals was to make it a club set apart from all others, not just your avarage Corvette club, I believe we are on our way to making this happen. I also can see this club leading to other endeavors such as ELITE PRODICTIONS, where we will produce major car events which will include car shows, racing, drifting, concerts, bikini contest, etc...Dream Big.
